Thales SSIS

Thales have been contracted by Network Rail to renew all life-expired Station Information and
Surveillance Systems (SISS) facilities at thirteen high speed stations within the current First Great
Western franchise. These works include the replacement of “retail systems” at each of the stations, specifically CCTV, PA and CIS. SISS renewal is limited to station based facilities and controls.

The following stations are to be covered as part of this project:
Bath Spa, Bristol Parkway, Bristol Temple Meads, Chippenham, Didcot Parkway, Exeter St Davids,
Newton Abbot, Pewsey, Plymouth, Swindon, Taunton, Tiverton Parkway, Totnes

Four of the stations include listed buildings as follows:
Grade 1 – Bristol Temple Meads
Grade 2 – Bath Spa, Chippenham and Taunton

The renewal works include survey, design, install, test and commission activities.

One-On's contracted works include the installation of ducting within platforms and station car parks, installation of CCTV posts and bases and the running of cables.
